Glauc

Its been pretty quiet this week but as its early in the year I've managed to add a few year ticks.
The best on the patch was a Firecrest in the large wood at the bottom of Corton Dis Rail track. Nothing else though.
Yarmouth hosted a very nice 1st Winter Glaucous Gull, typical it turned up last Monday but it managed to hang on until yesterday at least where I managed brief but good views of this brute.

Today I walked around Carlton Marsh, highlights were 3-4 Barn Owls, a Kingfisher 6 Chinese Water Deer and 2 Muntjacks.
Missed a Water pipit though.

Nipped to Lake Lothing for the Great Northern Diver which I managed to spot if not a bit distant. Finished the day at Burgh castle hoping for the long staying but very mobile Lesser Yellowlegs, Breydon is a massive area and it wont favour any area so yeh missed it again.
Did spot a couple more Barn Owls and a Short Eared Owl.
